Caroline is married and has three children, ages 20, 15, and 12. Her husband works as a boda boda driver.
Before joining Mukuru, Caroline worked as a housemaid in town, far from her home, doing intensive washing and cooking tasks.
Caroline now earns more and has been able to buy the family their first place to sit: a red three-seater sofa! She enjoys relaxing in her chair and watching TV, particularly Citizen (a Kenyan station) and Nigerian shows.
She dreams of plastering her mud house to make it more stable and eventually buying cattle to support her family.
