With a brand-new factory built in Kenya, there is space to hire 500 stove artisans and briquette makers. But doing so will require all of us (and more!). Can you rally your friends to create one job?

With your help providing recruitment, job training, and a new uniform, each stove artisan will produce at least 1,500 stoves per year for families living in extreme poverty.

Each artisan can make 30-50 stoves per week.
(30 stoves X 50 weeks per year = 1,500)

Each stove saves 1 ton of carbon annually, compared to cooking over an open fire.

9,000 Trees Preserved

Each stove saves 6 trees per year from being cut down and used as fuel.

3 Sales Agents

3 women will work as sales agents, selling the stoves in local markets. All are vendors already; stoves add a valuable boost to their business.

Sales agents earn $1 per stove sold.

Each family purchases a stove for $5. Because stoves cook food faster and more efficiently, families will save an average of $110 per year on purchasing charcoal or firewood.
